Fall Asleep in 7 Steps (more or Less)

1. Relax the muscles in your face and head, including your tongue and jaw

2. Release the tension in your shoulders and arms, letting your arms go limp

3. Breathe naturally, making sure to relax your chest when you exhale

4. Relax your legs, thighs, and calves

5. Clear your mind for 10 seconds by picturing a relaxing scene or something that relaxes you (ex: a candle flame, a beach with crashing waves, clouds)

6. If you’re still awake, tell yourself “Don’t think” for ten seconds while keeping your muscles relaxed

7. Repeat if necessary

Don’t forget, practice makes perfect. The more you do this, the better you’ll get at it!
